The Temple is an ancient fraternal order, shrouded in allegory, dating back to the 8th and 7th centuries B.C. of historical Cimmeria, and professing zealot-like faith in The Blessed One, Mitra. Many say The Templars are but pawns for a secret society looking to achieve worldwide dominance, others claim they are simply zealots, and some...some say they are cultists doing work for Gods of a more evil nature...not Mitra's work at all.

Little is known of The Templars other than reports of their odd symbolic attire, secretive ceremonies, and strange rituals. They have a language unto themselves simply called "Codex" and are seen frequently in and around Kingsmouth where they attend "Lodge" and within London where they attend "Temple". It is unknown at this time where they reside when not in "Lodge" or "Temple".

Templars have a strict and regimented hierarchy within their fraternal order, from Petitioners and Candidates to Templar Knights and Councilmen to those of the highest they simply refer to as "The Oracles". Allegedly there are three ranks, or "Three Degrees" as Templars refer to them, each of which bearing a ritual, a word, and a sign to conceal their identity, work, and secrets further.

The greatest rumor surrounding The Templars is their harboring of a Sacred Writ which having been deciphered led them to ancient and powerful items they possess and guard from the outsiders or "Cowans", as Templars refer to them.

With so little known, and no Templar or Councilman ever revealing the secrets of this Order...the secret, or secrets they possess, may never be known....
